“Your building is burning down!” I remember it well, Bill Milbank rang me to tell me that this magnificent Whanganui building was on fire. I knew the first time I saw the building that this was a potential and a possible case of demolition by neglect. This painting was exhibited at the Milbank Gallery, Whanganui when it was raised to the ground by fire.
